Walleye Chant

Another project that I really wanted to accomplish, and actually did, was to record an album of some of my fav’ songs from a long long effin’ time ago. The band name was Walleye Chant, and there were at least a couple people in Nebraska that enjoyed the music. I enjoyed playing and recording on this, and my older brother Kerman did an outstanding job putting down the vocals in one day (not to mention coming up with lyrics on the fly cuz it was so damn long ago). This can be had at Spotify, iTunes, Bandcamp, etc. http://walleyechant.bandcamp.com/releases (Spotify Link: Walleye Chant –...

Asher Prefect

I’ve been working on a number of songs for some time now, however have only published one that was recorded about 10 years ago, and another that is a cover. The cover is “For Your Love,” by the Yardbirds. Both of these tunes can be found at: Asher Prefect (Bandcamp) Also on iTunes I’ll try and update this shit once I actually record some tunes....

Online Music Mastering Review

Sometimes we just have to swallow whatever pride we may have (usually it’s just that bloated ego disguising itself as righteous pride), and seek out help from the professionals. Such is the case with me and mastering audio files. I seriously just don’t know how to do it. I’ve tried and failed multiple times…I think it would be appropriate to say that I’ve tried and failed myriad times. Because I want the tracks I’ve recorded to sound at least somewhat pleasing to the only people who will listen them (my parents), I’ve decided to go on a search for an online music mastering service that will provide what I’m looking for. What am I looking for? Simple. I’m looking for a studio that can make my mediocre mix kick-ass without making making me take a loan out from my 401k. It’s that simple, and I believe I’ve found my studio. The studio I chose is the studio I’ve stuck with for various projects, which is Sage Audio. Following are the studios I looked at: – http://www.universalmastering.com – $99 to master a song If you want to get shit mastered with this behemoth of a studio, you need to contact them: Universal Mastering Studio 3400 Cahuenga Blvd. – Building C Los Angeles, CA 90068 Contact: Nick Dofflemyer 818.286.6233 Louise Glover 818.286.6271 – http://www.audiomaster.co.uk <— These guys (and maybe gals? I’m not sure, just want to make sure I don’t sound like a misogynistic asshole), are rad cuz it’s play before you pay. The price is £20 per song. The downside: from what I can tell no samples are provided on the site...

Ockham’s Razor – ATX band

I play drums in a band called Ockham’s Razor.  The album is finished, and is available on Soundcloud. We’re still working out artwork for the album, so when that’s all done we’ll throw the whole thing on iTunes, Spotify, etc.  Ockham’s Razor on...
