Don’t Rent From This Guy: $795 / 2100ft2 – Newly renovated, clean private locked creative live/work spaces

When I got back from traveling, I decided that instead of staying in Austin, TX, I’d go live in L.A. for a while. I love creating, and loved the idea of a collaborative living space, which is what was advertised in the Craigslist post. Plus, it was cheap! I’m not going to make this into a massive post; I’ve got things to do. But I want you to make an informed decision and have a little more information about the place before you decide to rent. It’s in Watts. Nothing against Watts, but if that sort of neighborhood isn’t your cup of tea, then… The way to get in or out of the place is by unlocking (I shit you not) PADLOCKS on gates. There are 2 dogs there, and I was really concerned about whether or not they were getting the water they needed. I filled there bowls while I was there, but now? I don’t think it’s bad enough to call PETA or whatever, but it just felt…fucked Don’t accept anything if you do decide to move in. If use of the studio space is offered for a few hours because it’s “no sweat off his back” don’t fucking take it, because it will turn into “you owe me 2 days worth of studio time.” Yes, I’m fucking serious.
